Happy Birthday, "Miss A"

Dear Antoinette (and yes, old man Steve....)  Hey, did I "hear right" and "see right", that today is your BIRTHDAY?  Happy Birthday, indeed.  And while we're at it, I think CONGRATULATIONS are in order as well, on your upcoming wedding.  We absolutely love you guys.....I've been going "back and forth" with Steve since he worked with Emile......face it, it is just simply fun to "harass" the guy.....

Antoinette you're a sweetheart, very good at what you do, professional, down to earth, beautiful, and yet fun and humorous!!  Keep it up!  Take care, and have a really great day, and birthday!!

Warm warm regards,   John & Tamera Bartley

(We are "way up here", 30 miles NW of Las Vegas, NM at Gascon, 8250' elevation, in Mora County.....)

Paws & Stripes is a local Organization that adopts adult dogs from our New Mexico shelters and trains

these dogs with selected disabled Vets that have been diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and

Traumatic Brain Injuries.

The Veteran and dog go through 6 months of intensive training. Once they finish, they both graduate

and the dog is then with that Veteran for the rest of it’s life. The dog helps the Veteran cope in every day situations and eventually helps the Veteran be a functional, productive member of society again.

To obtain such a dog, one would have to provide at least $10,000 to $30,000 or spend countless months seeking grant money to cover it. For a veteran to complete the Paws and Stripes™ program, the cost is a flat $2,000. Furthermore, Paws and Stripes™ covers this cost, and the veteran never pays a penny of it.

Paws & Stripes is exclusive to Military with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder or Traumatic Brain Injury.

Needless to say- this is a great cause-

Steve's Families 4 Kids!

Name: Devon Age: 11 Grade: 5th

Devon is a creative boy who likes reading, taking trips to the library and going on “adventures” through the stories he reads.  He also enjoys building things with Legos and creating origami pieces…..he is really a creative boy!  Although he likes to spend time doing activities with his family, but needs some encouragement to participate.  He will need a lot of positive attention and interaction from the family that chooses to adopt him.  Devon is very literal so he will require a family that can give him clear messages and can keep an open line of communication with him as to what will take place throughout the day.  That said, Devon is a boy with a lot of potential and one who likes to help others and takes pride in his accomplishments.

Rio Rancho problems

NAME: Kathy Dobbins
CITY: Rio Rancho
COMMENT: Good Morning. I live in North Hills near the Corners of Cherry and Unser. My son just tried to go to work and RR Police have the road blocked at Cherry. We have at least 6 inches of powdery snow and it's still coming down. I work for Presbyterian Clinic on Highresort and can't even get to work. I just wanted to let you know what's going on out here. I count you Channel 4 to get word as to what is going on. So if the people that live here in North Hills or Northern Meadows can get the word as to what is going on, it would be very nice. Thank You, Kathy
