Amazing Rain Total for Placitas!

Roger  checked the rain gauge for yesterday's rain totals .  At 9PM last night, it was already 1.46"   .  . . but it rained here on and off all night.  This morning at 5:30AM  is 1.95" !!!

Roger says to tell you he needs all this rain out of here by 11:30am, please.  Wednesday afternoons are golf days for a lot of docs and he has a tee time at 11:30 at Santa Ana.  (LOL) When he left, I told him "Hope you're bringing your waders!"

Rain!

From: Jerry Crabb
Good morning Steve!

What is this stuff falling out of the sky? Could it be that stuff we used to call "rain"? lol

It started in the Sumner Lake area about 9 last night and is still coming down pretty steady. I just checked my rain guage and we have a little over a half an inch so far. I have to get to work but I need to look at the owners manual for my pickup first. Maybe it will tell me where that switch thingy is that turns on those things that slap back and forth. I think they are called "windshield wipers"!

Have a great day! Jerry

Balloon Fiesta

Hi Steve
I sent out a face book post about the Fiesta. I had folks watching in CT as well as AZ. They really enjoyed the opprtunity to witness something so spectacular. By the way you looked heartbroken when that guy was describing the burrito and then had the nerve to walk away with it but you made up for it with the taste of cinnamon bun..
Be Blessed

Feista Coverage

Just wanted to drop you a note to let you know that I really enjoyed KOB's coverage of the Fiesta. I have worked at WJBF-TV here in Augusta GA for over 33 years I think I'm a pretty good judge of on-air talent and your station does a wonderful job with the Fiesta. While at work this morning I watched your cut-ins from the field and during the down time I just wanted to say that the way you handled the general public while not on the air spoke very well of you. I can see why you are considered the most photographed person at the Fiesta by letting so many people get photos with you. You seem very much to care for your viewers and I think that's what makes you a success. I've been able to attend four Fiesta's as a balloon crew chief and I hope the next time we got out to the Fiesta I will get a chance to come by a shake you hand and congratulate you for the great job you do.

GARDEN POEM

I have watched your station new for some time... Out of respect here is something for Sharon Erickson....did not know until this Am broadcast...please forward to the staff...THANK YOU God looked around his garden, and he found a empty place. He then looked down upon the Earth, and saw your tired face. He put his arms around you and lifted you to rest. God's garden must be beautiful He always takes the best. He knew that you were suffering He knew you were in pain He knew you would never get well on earth again He saw the road was getting rough and the hills hard to climb. So he closed your weary eyelids and whispered "Peace be Thine." It broke our hearts to lose you but you didn't go alone For part of us went with you the day God called you home. Rest in Peace
