Congratulations on the new job. Many people in the viewing audience are
applauding loudly. Good luck! We hope that you continue to find
Albuquerque a cool place to live and stay at KOB in this position for
at least the next 20 years..... Reporting ugly news stories ain't much
fun. But you do it well. You have a great and natural personality, with
a fantastic smile..... Stay on the job & be confident that many people
are very pleased....
Sincerely,
Derek Mathews, & family

Taos Festival of Trees/Wreaths
Taos’ Annual Festival of Trees and Wreaths
Helps Those Who Help Others
The annual Festival of Trees and Wreaths in Taos wraps up community giving and support of local non-profits all in one festive, enchanting evening. The Festival of Trees and Wreaths in Taos – when area businesses decorate wreaths and trees in support of a favorite local nonprofit organization - is Friday, Dec. 3 from 6-9 p.m., at El Monte Sagrado Resort and Spa on E. Kit Carson Road.
The event – now in its 10th year – has raised more than $200,000 to benefit local non-profits. This year's goal is $30,000.
Decorated trees and wreaths are up for bid through Friday, closing during the night of the festival at 8 p.m. Winning bidders can either keep the tree or wreath or donate it to Community Against Violence, which will see that it goes to a needy family in the Taos area.
The party features hors d'oeuvres, beer and wine, and entertainment by Jimmy Stadler. Admission is $20 per adult; children are free. All admission proceeds go to the Museum Association of Taos, which uses the money for its educational programs.

Ruidoso
We are headed to Ruidoso this weekend from Edgewood. I lived in that area almost 20 years and love going back for the Christmas light parade as does my husband (who never got to live there). We are looking forward to seeing you at the head of the parade (after all the police cars that is). Hope you and your family have a great time in my favorite “village”.

COLD Morning!
CITY: La Cueva (Jemez)
COMMENT: Hey Steve, -7 in La Cueva right now. Yep, pretty cold in this neck of the woods. I call it Frosty Acres
Some folks say I am nuts for living up here. Not nearly as nuts as a guy that rides a scooter to work when it is 20 degrees.
Did that as a kid cause I had to, but you and I are about the same age. Supposed to be wiser...........
Sam
