COMMENT: Marla, I'm not gonna lie .... I watch channel 4 pretty much because Steve Stucker is on. I love his personality and that he's not afraid to be a Christian on TV. However, I'm so sad to hear you're leaving. I've watched Steve since he worked with Monica Armenta and then Nicole Brady. You have BY FAR been the best compliment to his personality. You seem to have a great sense of humor and you're not afraid to give back to Steve what he gives to you. There will certainly be a gaping hole in the show with your departure. Good luck with your new job, though. They are blessed to have you!

COMMENT: Marla's announcement this morning is very heart felt, me and my wife have been watching channel 4 for 23 years now and have always loved all the news Anchor's and reporters, but we do have to admit Marla has been the best partner for Steve, they are the best way to start our day, and yes her announcement brought tears to our eyes, hope she knows NM will always have a place for her to return to.

COMMENT: Marla, don't leave! :( I have been watching the morning news on KOB since I can remember. I stared off with my parents growing up, getting up early and watching Steve Stucker and now I am grown up and my mornings are not complete without you and Steve. I have thoroughly enjoyed you on KOB for the past 3 years and I just wanted you to know that you will be greatly missed. It takes someone special to be able to hang with Steve on the morning show and you did it with class. Best of luck to you and as Steve would say, May God Bless.

MT is "Leaving Me"??

Today, Marla Tellez, my KOB Morning partner of 3 years, officially announced she will be leaving New Mexico later this month.  She is taking a job at the NBC affiliate in San Jose, CA. very near where she grew up.  Marla will be doing the Morning Show there, reporting & anchoring the news.

We have had a LOT of laughs together, both On & Off Air...and she will be missed.  I know that you all have enjoyed her smile & quick wit...(me too).
Our loss is their gain, & I know her Mom, Carol, is quite excited about this career move....not to mention numerous Bay Area single guys!!

Please feel free to send me any comments you have for Marla. I'd also love any "Memories" you may have of things we've said or done On-Air over the past three years that you enjoyed.   I will forward them to her, and post on my Blog.

I know you will join me & the staff here at KOB in wishing her much happiness & success in her new endeavor.
May God bless & protect her always....

Holiday Pet Food Drive

Hi Steve,
This is Shannon from Acoma Training Center.  Trish and I wanted to contact you to let you know that we are starting our annual Pet Food Drive to benefit The Storehouse.  We, along with four other local businesses will be collecting pet food between now and November 23, 2010.  Any donation will get the donator freebies at the participating businesses.  Last year we collected over 6,000 pounds of pet food, and this year we are hoping to double last years haul.  We want to ensure that families who are struggling making ends meet do not have to give up their beloved four legged family member, or choose between being able to afford to feed their pet, or pay an essential bill.  Below is a list of drop off locations and the incentives individuals will receive with donations.  We are hoping you can help us get the word out about this effort.  Thank you, and may God continue to keep you in the spotlight to represent Him.

Acoma Training Center
333 Wyoming SE
With a donation of 20 pounds of pet food in any combination - dry, canned, whatever they would like to donate, the will receive a $5 coupon for any class Acoma offers.

Individuals can also donate at any of the Mario's Pizzeria and Ristorate locations in Albuquerque.
San Pedro and Uptown
Juan Tabo and Menaul
4th and Montano
Mario's will give $3 off any order, dine-in or carry-out in return for any donation.

Donations can also be made at Dairy Queen Orange Julius
6100 Coors Blvd NW
5900 Eubank NE.
Any donation made at those two locations will allow the individual to receive a free "Pup Cup" for their four footed family member that can be enjoyed outside the store.

Oak Tree Cafe V
6909 Menaul Blvd NE
In return for any donation, Oak Tree Cafe will give a free 32 oz drink with your lunch order.

Donations are also being accepted at Advanced Fitness Equipment
2320 Eubank Blvd NE
$5 coupon for any Acoma Class will be the perk at this drop-off location.
