Dog needs a ride home

I am with the Alamogordo Rescue Mission, and we have a dog that is stuck here in Alamogordo and the dog needs a ride home.   The dog was traveling with a young couple and the couple got in trouble with the law, the young couple  went to jail and Stinky  went  to the dog pound.  The dog pound contact us letting us know that the owner wants the dog back, but she lives back in Rochester New York.  So here we are trying to get the word out that the dog needs a ride home.  If anyone can help get "Stinky" home to New York   please contact Alamogordo Animal Rescue Mission at 575-443-1613

Thank you so much

Morning Steve,

I was watching the news this morning, thought it was funny when you were sad comparing yourself to George Clooney.  You have nothing to worry about, you are far more handsome than George.  You not only have the looks but also you have a very good sense of humor, one of the best.

I tell my husband, I go to bed with Jay Leno and I wake up to Steve Stucker………  Some of your humor is pretty funny, it makes my day, keep up the good work.

Hi Steve:  I just wanted to thank you for the wonderful speech you gave us for the Presbyterian Volunteer Luncheon on Wedsday, April 28th, at the Embassy Suites.  I also want to congratulate you on being with KOB-TV Weather for 20 years!  What a wonderful career!  On a personal note, thank you for all the years of support you gave me while I was Director of the New Mexico Commission on the Status of Women's Displaced Homemakers Office for seventeen years I was there.  You supported me when I did the Alzheimer's Walk for my Mother, the Breast Cancer Walk when I had breast cancer, the New Mexico ALS Walk (after my husband  died  ), and  my programs for women in our State.  I am now a Volunteer for Presbyterian Hospice Unit.  I have been a Volunteer since my husband died nine years ago.    Thank you for all the Volunteering you have done in our Community.  May God Bless you and take care of you with good health & happiness.  I am truly grateful to have you in my life!  Renie GarciayGriego de Pedregon.  I hope your wife has a wonderul Mother's Day!

Kids and Longhorns

Hi Mr. Stucker - my kids, husband and I love waking up with you every morning!  You start our day off with a smile!

I posted a picture to the KOB website yesterday of three boys riding their Longhorn steers!  I don't know how y'all choose which pictures get to be aired or not, but it would be awesome if you could show their picture!  These boys work so hard to saddle break and work with their steers to make sure they are ready to ride and safe to ride.  We are trying to show them off to as many people as possible!

I sure would appreciate it if at all possible to give these boys a little bit of airtime!  You are appreciated!  Thank you for your consideration of this and may you have a blessed day!

"Found Ferret" Needs a Home!

Here is a photo of a ferret that I found a couple of weeks ago. One day late at night, I saw something odd in the camera trying to get in the front police department door.  I proceeded to the front door and discovered it was a ferret. I retrieved the ferret, fed it and gave it water, it appeared to be starving.  We have had it with our other three ferrets and they play all the time. The kids play with her and let her run around the house. she is a blast to play with.

We are looking for a home for her and are willing to adopt it out at no charge to a loving home.

You’re the backbone of the morning show and it’s nice to see someone dedicated to sticking around one area. I came to Clovis in 1991, retired from the USAF in 1993 and have caught most of your career with KOB.

Congratulations and thank you for your 20 years of pretty accurate weather forecasting, along with the entertainment you provide.

Congrats Steve,

Twenty years with KOB, and what a job you have done! Here's to many
more! You are the one we call the REAL weatherman. In fact, I spent
several hours this weekend moving our indoor antenna and programing the
tv to bring in KOB. We lose the local channels on Direct-TV when our
pecan tree leafs out, so back to the old fashion way...but I didn't stop
until I get KOB.

We appreciate your love of our state and all the work you do for pets in
our state.

Watching that big cloud you warned us about as it moves south, Roswell
will get it before East Grand Plains, but bring on more moisture!

Again, congrats, job well done!

Steve Thanks YOU!

Dear Viewers,

"Viewers"? That sounds pretty formal for me, especially since I consider most of you to be "Family"!  Today marks my 20 Year Anniversary on the Morning Show at Eyewitness News 4 Today.  I am SO grateful to all of you for allowing me into your homes over the years.  I enjoy your feedback, comments, jokes and emails...and all the Love and Laughter you  send
my way on a daily basis. It is very rare to be able to "Work" in a situation that you Love, and I have been Blessed beyond belief.  I continue to be amazed at your attitude of Care and Generosity in helping others in our state.

Special thanks to our morning staff of about 15 people who work so hard behind the scenes, and put up with all my "Strange" requests and ideas.  Terry Davis, our Floor Director, has been here even longer than me, and is a great example of an "Old Pro".  He and the rest of the Crew have "saved my rear" more times than I can count. Without all of their professional support, I would not be able to do anything of  value on-air.  I can't forget the Management & Ownership here at KOB TV.  Vice President/General Manager Mike Burgess has always treated me with respect &kindness, and the Hubbard family has been wonderful to me.

Finally, most the credit for any success goes to my Co-Host/News Anchors!  The lovely Marla Tellez does the bulk of the work each day...not to mention having to put up with a LOT of OLD Jokes.  And I'll never forget the contributions of those who preceded her, Monica Armenta, Emile Gonzales, Nichole Brady & Shelton Dodson, Antoinette Antonio and so others.

I honestly don't know what the future holds, but am extremely Grateful for all that has already come my way. I may have to go find a "REAL JOB" at some point, but until then, I plan to enjoy each day here as a Gift from God.

Take some time to REALLY enjoy your life today...and may God Bless.

Steve Stucker
