SUMMER PET ADOPTATHON AUG 7

COMMENT: Steve, we know you are a pet supporter...even days other than Fridays. We watch all the time and envy you the ability to take your pups to work. The City of Albuquerque is hosting an event we'd like to make you aware of and hope you can share with others. The Hawaiian Summer Adoptathon will take place at the Westside Animal Shelter at 11800 Sunset Gardens SW (98th and Central area) on 7 August from 10 AM to 2 PM. We're trying to adopt out as many dogs, cats, bunnies, and maybe even snakes by that time as we can to ease the overcrowding in our shelters. Please encourage everyone you can to come out and find their new best friend...and have a free hotdog, soda, and get their face painted! The APD will have their K-9 unit out there for demonstrations too. Thanks for all you do for our pets...and trying to get the weather to cooperate!
