Morning Note

Let me begin by saying that your beautiful daughter and my son share birthdays!! Happy Birthday to her.
On another note...Thank you so much for the joy that you bring to early mornings, I have been watching you for SO many years, great memories of my childhood often include watching you in the mornings before school with my grandparents. My grandma was one of your biggest fans if she was unable to watch a newscast then she would record it. Thank you so much for being a early morning "companion" for many many years.

Thanks very much for your support and kindness....God bless.....ss

FW: Lighting The Christmas Tree

Thanks to the Thousands Who Braved the Cold to Help Us Light the Old Town Christmas Tree! Viewer (and regular Photo Contributor) David McClurg took these shots! See his note below.....Merry Christmas everybody....ss

Steve,

Shook your hand and took a photo of you on Friday Night.

The photo was taken before the tree lighting. So I added the lighted tree in the area behind you. An impossible shot, but it looks nice.

Save Luke and Chewey!

Subject: Save Luke and Chewey!

PLEASE SAVE US!

Six and a half year-old brothers Luke and Chewey are in desperate need of a new home. Their former owner had to give them up when he lost his job and his house. They have been at Animal Humane for several weeks now and their time is running out fast.

Chewey and Luke came from a truly loving home and have been together since birth (they are litter-mates). They deserve to find a new home together! They are incredibly sweet and affectionate, well-adjusted, laid-back, house-trained couch potatoes who love kids, belly rubs, and watching TV.  Their time is running out very fast.  PLEASE HELP!

They are at Animal Humane of New Mexico: 615 Virginia Street SE in Albuquerque, (505) 255-5523.

Their ID numbers: 11041 (Chewey) and 11040 (Luke)

Flyer from Animal Humane is attached. Please forward this email/flyer to as many people as you can possibly think of.  These guys really need all the help they can get. I know these dogs.  My dogs used to play with them at the dog-park.  They deserve better.

Good morning, I thought I would send you a picture of where my boyfriend works, as you can see there is no indoor plumbing and the port-a-potty has no heat.  I teased him all day about having to go to the restroom.  Then I felt bad about doing that.  Just a few shots of a snow day in Tucumcari.  It was cold but BEAUTIFUL. Thanks and Merry Christmas to you and Marla and family.  Sandra & Louie, Tucumcari

Roads in Edgewood

Steve-

I was headed to Corrales from Edgewood at 9:30 this morning. I got on westbound I-40 at the Edgewood exit. Between that exit and Sedillo Hill (the next exit) there was one 3 car accident and a semi that slid off the road down the hill. We got off at Sedillo and decided to go home since the interstate didn't appear to have been salted/sanded at all. That's when we watched another semi jackknife on eastbound I-40 just after the Sedillo Hill exit. We drove home on the skating rink quality Old 66 and gave up on going anywhere today. We have 3 inches here and the snow keeps falling!

Weather in Los Alamos

From: Lori Dauelsberg Subject: Re: Weather in Los Alamos

Our "dusting" has turned in to a fluffy inch or so and the roads are really slick and snow-packed (more than what you'd expect for the amount of snow we have).

(And thanks for zooming in to show so we could confirm that the radar really isn't showing much of anything here.)

COMMENT: Hey Steve, I watch you and Marla every morning for news and weather. Therefore I knew there would be a snow storm sweeping across south eastern New Mexico last night and this morning before any of my co-workers.
