Canine Companions Golf 7/24

This year's tournament will be held on Friday, July 24 at Desert Greens Golf Course.  Tee time is 7:30 AM.  The tournament is a 4 person scramble with an awards banquet  and silent auction to follow.  All proceeds go to Canine Companions for Independence.  Info on the event can be found online at www.ccigolf.org  or by calling Pat Lawson at 602-312-3040.
I've attached a couple of pictures from our golf photo shoot the other day. I'm thinking that 8 week old Norma will be an instant celebrity as she poses in her basket!  Any help in mentions on your show about our event this year would be great!

Thanks again Steve, we really appreciate your help.  On a personal level, I so appreciate the work you do with all the shelters and attention you bring to all animal causes.  Thank you for just being you.

Take Care,

Tell The Trurth Poetry

The Cat  The Bird and
      Dog of Truth

Said the older cat to
the sweet bird of youth
I won't chase you today
trust me,..I tell the truth
I've given up..my beef,...
so come down from the tree,..
I've turned a new leaf
fly down here ,..play with me

Said the bird singing
through a high pitching score,..
I've watched you there lingering
I've heard that story ...before..
What makes you think I'd believe
that old song that you want to play,..?
Common now,..tell the truth
now,.... what's really up today...?

I'm a completely different cat,..
you can judge ,.. the court's in session,..
the dog chased me for hours,..
and I've learned a special lesson,...
I'm never going to chase
nor climb up into the tree,..
Can we come to terms please
know that you ,..can trust in me,..

He had a change of heart,..
so the bird flew down...
The cat snached him up
before he could touch the ground
The dog came over
he was watching all the time
He saved the fleeting bird
and said,,cat,..you fool,..,..you're mine!

A word of thanks

From: Hill, Anthony
Steve, yesterday my son Perry received the note you sent him regarding his invitation to his Eagle Scout Court of Honor. I cannot begin to tell you how much your note meant to him and us. He is so proud of that note and the fact that you took a few moments to write to him. As he was closing in on his Eagle Scout, he must have told us 10 times, "when I have my Court of Honor, I'm going to invite Mr. Stucker, because he told me to let him know when I made it". From a proud parent, let me just thank you again for taking the time to help him attain his Eagle award, by allowing him to come to the station several years ago and meet with you, and for the very kind note you sent him. Of all the things we miss most about living in Albuquerque, watching you on TV and seeing you at Balloon Fiesta are at the top of the list. Please continue the great things that you do both on and off the air. I pray for your continued happiness, health and success.

Thank you again,
Tony

Lack of Webmaster Appreciation?

Steve,

I told two people, "I saw on the news today that it was webmaster appreciation day." Both said, "Oh, was that with Steve Stucker?"

Thought you might like to know.

But neither one bought me breakfast or lunch. No appreciation. :_(

We Found a Meteorite!

Steve,

This meteorite was found in the mountain's of Corona.  Devanie(the one holding it) is the one that found it.  This was a camping trip with Chantel, Louisa(in the middle) and Devanie, and their parents of course.  They also found turquoise and saw 10 different  species  of God's creation.   After Devanie found the meteorite she gave it to her sister.  Chantel showed it to her dad and we had a magnet in the truck and decided to see if it would stick to it.  And it did!!!!!!!!!!!  Thanks for sharing.

Honor Our Founders Poetry

More,,,than Fireworks
come here on the forth
A country,..which   works
South East West and North\.....
Through.......our Founding Fathers....
who had the ..... Constitution to do it
and a  "write "  way to prove it,..
and the nerve to stand through it,..

Take time in your celebration..
before the spirit gets lost
in the Bar-B-Que,.of the raging feast
Measure off the magnificant cost
of those who put  their  lives on the line
giving the finger to King George,...V
signing the declaration of independance
making the country they would forge..Free

So blow off yer' Ordinance,..
Make your statements and be proud,..
We all try to buy the stuff
colorful,..and loud,..
Share food with friends and familia
Watch this country grow,..
Congratulations,..to us all,..

Steve Can't say Santa Fe

NAME: Rob
CITY: Alb. nm
:
COMMENT: Steve, why do you call Santa Fe sena Fe.It is pronounced Santa Fe like santa Claus, not Sena Fe like the Hispanic Last name. you know have Marla doing the same. Can you please stop doing this thanks Robbie...

In 25 years on the air in NM, you are the first person to make this complaint.  I lived in SF for 5 years, and I assure you I do pronounce the T.  I'm sorry your hearing does not allow you to realize that.  My hearing is not very good, so I understand how frustrating that can be.  I hear national and local broadcasters who "pronounce" words,, that to my hearing system,  sound funny or weird to me too..  While I try very hard to accommodate all viewers, I'm sorry there is not much of anything I can do for you on this.  If I try to "stress the T or "Tuh" sound for you, it;s going to sound funny to everybody else.  I hope everything else in your life is good.  God bless....ss

Smart Irrigation Poetry

SMART IRRIGATION MONTH

IRRIGATION TO A FARMER,.'
IS AS TO FIREMEN ..A FIFTH ALARMER.
ADD THE SEED AND WITH SOME SUN
GIVES THE FOOD TO EVERYONE,..

JUST SOME HOLE'S IN SIDE THE GROUND'S
A RUNNING TRENCH OF GOLD COMES DOWN
FROM GOD HISSELF THAT MAN HAS SAVED
MARTY'S CHAMA PROJECT ....PAID,.

OUR PRIOR ANCESTORS DID THINK
HOW TO GIVE THEIR FOOD A DRINK,.
WATER IT'S A DESERTS FRIEND
AS WE PRAY FOR RAIN AGAIN,..

ALL THIS MONTH AND SPRINKLE WEEKY
SOAK JUST THREE TIMES,..STOP THE LEAKY
COOLERS UP ON TOP YOUR ROOF..
IN THE EVENING'S,,YES,..DAYS,.STAY,..ALOOF!

DON'T PRAY TO STUCKER HE'S NOT GOD
HE'S JUST A WEATHERMAN,..AND ..ODD
THAT HE CAN'T MAKE THE GOLDEN STUFF,..
MAYBE ...ED NOID,..CAN CALL IT UP,..!..:)
