Quilter Complains to Steve

NAME: Nadine
CITY: Albuquerque
COMMENT: Re: the Corrales Quilt and Wine Fair. Listen Stucker. You are carna morta if you think quilting is just for "little old ladies." Quilters are of all ages, races and genders. Yes, Steve, even you could be a quilter. Also quilting is the only art form that originated in this country. I hope you will come down to Corrales this weekend and take a look at some of the art. Oh, mine is the pretty blue one named "Monkey Paws".

Yes Nadine... I know several men who are quite talented at quilting...but that would have ruined my joke!  Have fun and stay sober!!

Find Some Bunny to Love!

I'd like to alert you to a Rabbit Adoption Event taking place on May 9th at the PetCo store on Lomas. The event is sponsored by NM House Rabbit Society and intends to find permanent homes for abandoned rabbits from a variety of local shelters and foster situations.  10am until 2pm at the PetCo store on Lomas. This event intends to find permanent homes for 10 abandoned rabbits from a variety of local shelters and foster situations.

The rabbits up for adoption are a variety of breeds, sizes and personalities. NMHRS works closely with interested adopters to help match them with the right rabbits for their living situation and needs. “Many people don’t understand that rabbits make affectionate and fun house pets,” says volunteer Bill Velasquez. “They can really thrive in the right situation, and our previous adopters have many heart-warming stories about the rabbits that have become members of their families.” NMHRS provides education and information about living with a house rabbit to help adopters provide the best home possible. All rabbits are litter-box trained, which makes the transition to a new home that much easier.

19 years?

From: Slim Randles

Hi Guy:

Only 19 years? Seems like DECADES already!
Seriously, thanks so much for making mornings that much easier to
face. We need smiles and laughter, especially before the caffeine
reaches the nervous system.
You are a blessing to us all, in all seriousness, Steve. Thanks for
being there.
Would it help if I did a little rain dance this week?
