Local Church BEATS Time Change

Don't want to miss that hour of sleep with the Time Change this weekend?  Still want to make it to church?  Calvary of ABQ is telling members NOT to move their clocks forward this weekend...until AFTER services Sunday morning!  They are scheduling service times to coincide with what would have been the regular schedule BEFORE the switch to DST They will then instruct attendees to move clocks forward  AFTER the service ! !

With 10-12,000 attending each weekend, this could be interesting!   No way EVERYBODY is going to get this straight...and the parking lot could be crazy.  Oh well, they have  nice Coffee Shop and Bookstore...in case you arrive early...or late!

Service times are 8am, 9:30am and 11:15am.....but you'll have to do the math yourself to figure out when to go!

Espanola Valley Day

Thanks, Steve, for recognizing the beauty of the Espanola Valley.  I have many good memories of growing up in the valley and attending ESH were some of the best years of my life.  Wish more people saw it as more than a drug haven and the land of the Low Riders.

Again, thank you,

Have a Good Day and God Bless..........

The Cleanery, 'One of America's Best'!

The Cleanery selected as ‘One of America's Best Cleaners 2009'

Dry Cleaner receives top honor

San Francisco , CA -- February 18 At an annual awards ceremony recognizing the best dry cleaners in the country, The Cleanery of Albuquerque and Santa Fe, was selected as one of America's Best Cleaners for 2009. The ceremony was held at the J.W. Marriott in the historic Union Square section of San Francisco.

America 's Best Cleaners (ABC) is a national organization that strives to locate and recognize the best dry-cleaning establishments in major metropolitan areas throughout the United States.   Only 27 dry cleaners were certified in the United States by America's Best Cleaners for 2009. Another 15 are currently under review. Last year forty dry cleaners were certified for 2008.

Selection is contingent upon adherence to strict criteria.   The certification is valid for one year, whereby the cleaners are re-tested annually for compliance with standards, including monthly quality tests and quarterly mystery shopping reports, testing for customer service and quality.   ABC has recently expanded into World's Best Cleaners (WBC), which acts as both liaison and expert for third party interests, from the high-end garment industry, to NPR Radio, to MR Magazine, and the Wall Street Journal.

"It is an honor to be chosen as of one of America's Best Cleaners and we are very proud of our staff for putting forth such a great effort," said Kurt Lucero of The Cleanery, "We pride ourselves on delivering only the highest quality, with superior customer service, and we're glad to be recognized by this top-notch organization."

Criteria for selection are now based on standards determined in conjunction with the Hohenstein Institutes, which has partnerships from Hugo Boss to the Taiwanese Textile Research Institute, and is accredited under ISO 17025.   Prospective selections are site-inspected by certified ABC representatives to determine if minimum requirements of cleanliness, machinery equipment, stain removal and finishing quality are met.   Coupled with monthly fabric tests to evaluate chemical usage, it is the most stringent certification in the dry cleaning industry.

Founder and Executive Director of America's Best Cleaners Ed D'Elicio commended The Cleanery on its cutting-edge technology, and stressed the importance of such attributes in the selection process, an essential component in sustaining ABC's relationship with the fashion and garment industry, which has taken notice of the accreditation organization's ability to act as a liaison between high-end clothiers, cleaners and clients.

"The analogy to the automobile industry is not altogether inappropriate," said D'Elicio.   "Just as Mercedes recommends that authorized dealerships service their products, the manufacturers of $3000 suits want to offer their clients the same level of security and convenience when it comes to care and maintenance.   Our recognition provides that security, and our international network provides that convenience."

Steve STICKER?

From: Matt-Jan Klinger Subject: Picture/Laugh

Just recently we moved into a new house and were posting some of our favorite pictures of balloon fiesta . My daughter, MiKayla, who turns two in March is still obsessed with balloon fiesta after just one weekend. As she and I were looking at the pictures we were naming everyone in there, and she knows who you are in the picture. Although she has a little confusion, because the other day she had a sticker and when I said what is on your sticker, she replied... Steve....Steve Sticker! When I asked her if she meant Steve Stucker, she immediately started signing balloon.

3 Squared Day Poetry

       OH! NINE!

It's all about 3 square
in this century's year ........09'
and you might never really care
for Steves ..mathematical line
but,..as,..the next one comes in 16'
4/4's ...are some time away
and the 5's will come in 25'
some won't see ..the light o' day,..

With 6's out in ......36'
many will ...turn the page,..
Without the fountains, of our youth
we'll be ..well past ..our old age,..
In 7's,.. with ...advancements,..
and treatments, for the skin,..
They'll be sewing on part replacements
of the failing mind's and limb,..

8's come up in 64'
Add the ones,. you have ,..right now,..
With 9's there might be ...ages ,..
...like.... there's never been before,..
Then Zeros' ...QQ....!~all ...take over,..
Prayers and Miricles,.....another thing,..
if,.. you hold that 4 leaf clover ,.....or God,..
You make it there,..?. from here,.THAT's Something!
